Once planned as a major sea terminal for Port Stephens this area was first settled in the 1800's. Timber and fishing contributed to the local economy and to this day oysters are the main attraction.

The land is level and has lovely white sandy beaches. Only 15 minutes from Tea Gardens it makes an interesting sea change alternative.
